So Ji Sub and Shin Hyun Joon have been confirmed to play as brothers in SBS 2009 drama “Cain and Abel”. “Cain and Abel” was previously changed to “Doctor Stop” due to the lack of a second male lead but it has now been reversed back to its original name.

“Cain and Abel” will be So Ji Sub and Shin Hyun Joon’s return work to the small screen after 4 and 5 years respectively. So Ji Sub in KBS2TV’s “Sorry I Love You” and Shin Hyun Joon in SBS’s “Stairway to Heaven”. So Ji Sub plays as the younger brother Cheo In. Although he is genius doctor but he is being isolated due to power struggle among the authorities. As for Shin Hyun Joon, he plays as the older brother Sun Woo who thinks that his brother had snatched everything away from him, including his father’s love, his talent as a doctor and even the woman he loves.

The representative from the production company, Kim Dong Hyun said, “After over 2 years of planning, ‘Cain and Abel’ will stick to its original plan and get So Ji Sub to play in this drama. Shin Hyun Joon will be playing as his brother. The female lead role has been finalized as well. She is Chae Jung Ahn, who had sprung to popularity due to her role in ‘The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince’ last year”.

“Cain and Abel“, which has been delayed repeatedly is scheduled to begin shooting in November and will air in February next year. Given the notorious delay of this drama, I’m pretty sure things will change again, but I hope not though.
